Bristol-green student senate logoThe Student Senate is the official student governing body of ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø. It advocates for student interests, allocates student club funding, and works collaboratively with College leadership to improve campus life.

Student Senate meets every other week and serves as a platform for students to raise concerns, propose ideas, and influence College policies and priorities.

What Does Student Senate Do?

The Student Senate:

  • Represents student interests to College leadership, including the Vice President of Student Services & Enrollment Management
  • Acts as a liaison between students, faculty, administration, and the Board of Trustees
  • Allocates student club funding
  • Approves new student organizations and evaluates established organizations
  • Advises College leadership on services, policies, and procedures affecting students
  • Engages in cooperative ventures and negotiations with faculty and administration

Who Is Represented?

Every enrolled student at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is represented by the Student Senate. Senators are elected by the student body to serve as voting members and advocates.

Senator Eligibility & Responsibilities

  • Senators may serve up to four semesters
  • Must be enrolled at Bristol and in good academic standing
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Hold regular office hours to remain accessible to students

Make Change Happen

Student Senate meetings are open to all students. You can:

  • Voice concerns
  • Share feedback
  • Submit ideas for College-wide change
  • Request funding for student initiatives
     

Meeting Information

Student Senate meetings are held every other Wednesday from 2 - 3 p.m.

Location

Meetings are hybrid and are held on the Fall River campus in room D209, or you may . Meetings are open to all currently enrolled Bristol students.

Student Senate elections take place each fall semester. All seats are open to any enrolled student in good academic standing.
